We have found consistent and quality communication helps every step of the home remodeling process.
– Initial contact: Once a client contacts Tussel Home Remodeling, we get enough information to understand the next steps. Some tasks don’t need an in-person inspection or quote and some tasks don’t fit into our expertise of the remodeling process.
– Quote: We can either do a virtual or in person inspection to produce a quality quote. This quote typically takes 1-3 days to create depending on the scale and size of the project.
-Contract Agreement: This is another crucial step where communication is key. Adjusting the tasks of a quote can both change the price and create a better finished product. For example, not moving or changing the type of electrical installed could allow a better floor to be installed. In the end, the floor was the most important feature for the client. Once the overall project and price are agreed upon, the contract is signed, and we can dig deeper into the specifics.
-Finalize Design: Once the project is agreed upon, we can start designing the details of the project. This includes which sizes and colors of the different materials. We like to have as much of the project planned as possible before we begin. This allows the project to go as quickly as possible and reduce the changes in design and costs that can occur when designs are left up in the air. Once Design is finalized, we can set a start date to begin the remodel.
-Demo Day: This is everyone’s favorite day. It’s the first physical day of the renovation project and it indicated the home remodel is real. During this phase and throughout the build, we isolate the remodel area with tarps and coverings to keep the dust and dirt contained. When needed, a HEPA filter is placed in the renovation area to collect the dust in the air. This filter keeps everyone safe and the renovation clean.
-Build / Construction: A binder is provided that includes information for the entire project. This includes basic contact info as well as the design details and construction timeline. We communicate with the homeowner to ensure the build goes as planned and on time with as few surprises as possible.
-Final Walk Through: We have our internal “final walk through” during the construction phase to ensure everything is completed and touched up. This final walk through is with the client or homeowner. We ensure everything is completed and there’s nothing left the client would like done. This makes closing the renovation project pleasurable for both the clients and our renovation team.
From the initial contact through the final walk through, we focus on communication and respect between the homeowner and our team. This project is important and most often we only get one chance to make this a great renovation, and a great renovation is our goal.
